Our purpose

A healthy, self-reliant society through gau seva

To build a healthy, addiction-free, self-reliant society that protects its environment, nourished by pure (sattvic) milk-based food and panchgavya; to make the air, water and earth fit again for every living being; and to free abandoned animals from a life of suffering.

Shri Surbhi Godham

Run by Swadeshi Gau Sewa Samiti

Set among the pine forests of Nandgaon Nehra, the Godham is a home for the care, rearing and conservation of indigenous cows. It has cattle sheds, a fodder store and a workshop, and a modern gaushala with full facilities is nearly complete.

Encouraging cow keeping
Motivating farmers and cow keepers to rear, protect and breed indigenous cows, based on their qualities and benefits.
Zero-cost farming
Encouraging farmers to take up zero-cost natural farming by showing its importance and benefits.
Good-breed cows and bulls
Helping farmers get good-breed indigenous cows suited to the local climate, and access to good-breed bulls (Nandi).
Panchgavya product training
Training in making about 30–35 traditional panchgavya-based wellness products, and arranging their sale.
Panchgavya home care
Training in making panchgavya soap, shampoo, dhoop, phenyl and tooth powder, and arranging their sale.
Dairy-based livelihoods
Encouraging cow-ghee, milk-powder, bakery and pure milk-ghee-khoa sweet businesses, creating jobs and providing pure food.
